Demanding the screen takes over the lock screen on a phone, and brings the window to the front on a desktop. Without it the alarm still rings and still shows, but it waits wherever the app already was — which on a desktop can be behind whatever you are working in.

For low priority chimes only. These options make an alert easier to miss, which is the point here and a hazard anywhere else.

A device that was offline gets this alert when it reconnects. Normally a late alert arrives as a silent notification — there to find, but it will not wake anyone for something that happened hours ago. Tick this only where being told late still beats being told quietly.

Trigger endpoints

A revocable URL anything can call — UniFi Alarm Manager, a cron line, a gate controller, curl.

One full address per line, up to 10. Required — the address is the only other secret, and unlike a URL it travels in the clear through every mail relay.

Connected agents

AI assistants you have allowed to ring your alarms. They can list your chimes, ring one, and ask whether a person answered — nothing else until you say otherwise below. Everything they ring appears in Activity marked as an agent.

What agents may do

Ringing needs no permission beyond connecting. These are the things that do. Each agent is trusted on its own, in its row below, and every one starts with neither.

Create and manage chimes

So you can say “make a chime for this and ring it when you’re done”. An agent can never create one that overrides Do Not Disturb — only you can raise a chime to critical. It can also change and remove chimes it made, but not yours.

Create and manage triggers

For wiring up a service that sends webhooks. Worth knowing before you turn this on: a trigger URL keeps working even after you remove the agent that made it, so removing an agent is not enough — you would delete the trigger too. Agents can change and remove triggers they made, never the ones you set up. Anything an agent creates is labelled with its name.
