How to delete your Alarm Sender account and everything stored with it. You
can do it yourself in about thirty seconds, and you do not have to ask us.
Delete it yourself
- Sign in at alarmsender.com.
- Open the Account tab.
- Press Close this account…
- If you want a copy of your alarm history, press
Download my alarm activity (CSV) first. This is the
only copy you will have afterwards.
- Type your own email address in the box to confirm, then press
Close account permanently.
It happens immediately. There is no waiting period, no confirmation email,
and no way to undo it.
If you cannot sign in
Write to privacy@alarmsender.com
from the email address on the account and ask us to close
it. We act on these as soon as we can confirm the request is genuine.
Writing from another address means we cannot tell it is you, so please say
so and we will work out how to verify it.
There is no password reset by email yet. If you are locked out, this is the
route.
Deleting only some of your data
You do not have to close the account to get rid of things.
- Your alarm history. In the console, open the
Account tab and press Clear alarm history….
That deletes every alarm, its title and message, the receipts recording
which device rang and who answered, and the record of senders that were
refused. Your chimes, triggers, devices and keys are untouched and the
account stays open. A copy is offered as a CSV first.
- Individual chimes, triggers, devices, API keys and AI agents
can each be deleted from their own tab, at any time. Deleting a trigger is
the only way to take back a URL you have already shared.
- Captured requests can be cleared from the trigger that
captured them.
If there is something you want removed that you cannot remove yourself,
write to privacy@alarmsender.com
from the address on the account and say what it is.
What is deleted
Closing the account permanently removes, from our servers:
- The account itself: your email address, your password hash, and your sign-in sessions.
- Every chime you built.
- Every trigger and its URL. Anything holding one — a
camera, a script, a person you shared it with — stops being able to ring
you from that moment.
- Every paired device, every API key, and
every AI agent you connected.
- Your whole alarm history: every alarm, its title and
message, and the receipts recording which device rang and who answered.
- Captured requests, records of refused senders, and any pending renewal notices.
Nothing is kept afterwards except what the law requires us to keep.
What is not deleted
Your Senders list stays on your devices. Senders — the
shared alarms you can ring — are stored only on the device that holds
them and are never uploaded, so closing your account cannot reach them.
The app on that device simply stops being paired to anything. To clear the
list, delete the app or remove the entries before you close the account.
The people in that list are unaffected either way. Those are
their trigger URLs, belonging to their accounts.
Getting a copy first
The close screen offers your alarm activity as a CSV: every alarm and every
refused attempt, with dates, titles, how each one arrived and what happened
to it. Download it before you confirm. Once the account is closed we cannot
produce it again, because it no longer exists.
